Software should earn your trust.

• ActiveWords watches for your trigger words so it can expand text, launch programs, and automate repetitive work.
• That’s all it does.
• It doesn’t build a history of your typing.
• It doesn’t upload your documents.
• It doesn’t monitor what you’re doing.
• Once an ActiveWord has been recognized, the temporary text is immediately discarded.
• We’ve believed this since the very first version of ActiveWords.

What We Collect

When you purchase ActiveWords, request a trial, or contact Support, you may provide information such as your:

• Licensing information
• Support request

That’s the information we use to help you.
Nothing more.

What ActiveWords Knows

Just enough to keep things running.

Occasionally ActiveWords sends limited technical information that helps us:

• Activate your license
• Improve reliability
• Fix bugs
• Resolve technical issues

This information may include:

• ActiveWords version
• Windows version
• License status
• Error reports

It never includes your documents or the text you type.

What ActiveWords Never Sees

ActiveWords does not collect:

ActiveWords recognizes commands.

Your Database

Stored locally. Encrypted. Yours.

• Your ActiveWords database lives on your computer.
• It’s encrypted to protect your information.
• We don’t automatically upload it.
• We don’t keep a copy.
• If you choose to back it up or synchronize it using cloud storage, that’s entirely your decision.

Password Protection

Some things should never be watched.

• Whenever Windows identifies a password field, ActiveWords immediately suspends text monitoring.
• Password fields are ignored automatically.

When We Ask For Help

Only if you ask us first.

Sometimes our Support team may ask if you’d like to send:

• Log files
• Screenshots
• Configuration information
• A sample database

That’s always your choice.
We use that information only to solve the problem you’ve asked us to investigate.

We Don’t Sell Data
